PostHeaderIcon Choosing the Best Smartphone for Business

People own smart mobile phones for business will need to use them for a wide variety of limited uses. But just how can you choose the best possible smartphone for you? The following points in time should help you make the right determination and guide you towards the right choice.

Business people need characteristics which will help them to become prepared such as a journal, a reminder scheme, alerts and even more modern systems such as video calling. We have all become very reliant on the e mail system and having a telephone with the ability to keep in touch with the office will mean that you can keep in touch with colleagues even when you are out and about attending  meetings elsewhere. It is important that the package included also includes the ability to send and get electronic mails.

All of that is a fairly obvious, actually. However, new users will probably be less likely to think about the applications that they need to view their documents. So, you will need something called a document viewer. This will enable you to look at files on the phone.  Such a viewer is recommended for all the common types of files that we use every day such as for Word, PDF and PowerPoint not to mention Excel.  You will have more limited functions than the software that you are used to on your PC but the viewer will enable you to see the documents that you need whilst you are out of the office.

A useful pointer is to see if you can actually have a play around and practice with your intended purchase before actually buying it. Do you like the look and feel of the it? Can you carry it well? Does the touch screen work as you would like? These points can be just as important as the technical characteristics which dominate if you are not careful.

Another very useful point to bear in mind is the choice of accessories which are available. For instance, it may be useful to make sure that you have a high quality casing so that your phone and, in particular, its screen, are well cared for. You should also apply careful thought before choosing the service supplier for your cell phone. Have a look and see what business services they offer. Do they give you enough text messages, electronic mails and broadband width so that you can use the smartphone as much as you wish?

The question of outlay is always significant when deciding on the best smartphone for your circumstances. There is obviously the consideration of the initial cost but you may wish to also consider the cost of the monthly service supplier and also additional insurance cover to make sure that your phone is replaced promptly and easily should ever be misplaced or stolen.

PostHeaderIcon You-Can-Build-It-Yourself Computer

Is your desktop computer outdated and taking you so long to download a simple file? Your budget is tight yet you don’t want to sacrifice quality. Have you ever thought about building your own computer using cheap computer parts? You can search for quality PC parts online and put them together as you build a whole new computer by yourself.

If you’re serious about this project, first begin by making one of three choices: buy a model which came out six months earlier, assemble a computer from individual computer parts, or get a limited-warranty refurbished computer.

What is this computer for? Are you going to use it for word processing and Internet browsing or if are you going to use it for advanced functions like graphics editing and other multimedia programs. These are very important so that you can get your money’s worth.

If you have already decided what the computer is for, then it’s time to configure it. What accessories do you need? CPU, RAM and motherboard, casing and power supply, mouse, keyboard and of course the monitor are the basic parts. Add in a sound card and a video card. These can allow you to view online videos. You can also add a CD player which can read compact discs only, or a CD/DVD player which can read a compact disc and a digital video disc, or a CD/DVD writer which not only reads both formats but can also burn CDs and DVDs. These however are optional if you chose to put in a USB instead.

Of course, the types of motherboard and video card would matter if the function of the PC is for multimedia purposes. For graphic editing, you would need higher specifications for the motherboard and the video card and a higher memory. For gaming PCs, still higher specifications are needed. Make sure that the motherboard has extra slots for the memory cards so that you can upgrade the RAM by adding memory cards.

A lower power supply is ideal for the casing if you will only use it for word processing and Internet surfing. But you will need a higher power supply if you use it for multimedia purposes. A casing that has a lot of vents for fans is also idea since a multimedia PC will need a lot of air and ventilation since it takes up a lot of heat.

If you don’t have time to build your own PC, you can try checking out refurbished computers which are high in performance but low in cost. A refurbished computer desktop can be a practical investment for online professionals and others who rely on their computers for work or business.

PostHeaderIcon How to repair your Dell laptop keyboard.

If you own a laptop, it is highly likely that you will damage your keyboard before any other component.  The most common problems are spill damage, broken keys, and debris which gets stuck underneath the key itself rendering it useless.  If you encounter spill damage and get lucky enough to only damage the keyboard, than you might have just saved yourself from a costly repair.

So, what can you actually do about it? Well, first of all you must take good care of your Dell laptop keyboard by keeping it clean and damage free. Also, make sure that you do not press the keys with a lot of force because that will wear them out fastest.

However, even then you’ll sometimes see that Dell laptop’s keyboard stops working or starts malfunctioning. In such a case you do not have to carry it to the service center, of course unless you can pay for the heavy service charge as well as overpriced spares. So what is the alternative? And how do you install a Dell laptop keyboard?

The alternative of course is an original Dell laptop keyboard spare. All that you have to do is go online and search for it on Google and you’ll find a few vendors selling Dell laptop parts. However, how will you ensure that they are original? Moreover, how do you believe that they are new parts and not a spare from a rejected or used Dell laptop? Well, this is where you will have to either trust a seller or go by his reputation. The lure of a saving a few extra $$$ on the keyboard is certainly something that most can’t ignore, but choose wisely so that you get an original spare which lasts a lifetime.

How do you install it at home? Well, installing a Dell laptop keyboard at home is extremely easy. You will be amazed that how you can save $$$ by just replacing it at home instead of visiting the service center and paying a huge fee for it. All that you need is a screwdriver set, an original Dell laptop keyboard and a plastic scribe… Of course, it goes without saying that you’ll need your laptop with the damaged keyboard too.

Open your laptop and place it a stable platform, something like a table. Now push the screen back gently as far as it can go. Now using the plastic scribe gently and carefully lift the hinge cover. Don’t apply too much pressure or else the little connectors (that keep the hinge cover and the rest of the body together) will break. Now once you have upraised the hinge cover off the laptop, keep it aside and look for the two screws that hold your Dell laptop keyboard together. Using the matching screwdriver, unscrew the old and damaged laptop keyboard and replace it with a new Dell laptop keyboard. However, lift the old keyboard carefully using the plastic scribe so that you don’t damage the keyboard cable in the middle of the keyboard. Once you have slightly lifted the old keyboard, gently pull the keyboard cable until it pops out. Now replace the old keyboard with the new one and place the keyboard cable in the right place before putting the screws. Now just tighten the two screws and put the hinge cover on the keyboard. Make sure it is correctly fitted and the connectors are in place before turning on your Dell laptop. In case it doesn’t work, the only problem could be that of a loose keyboard cable, check, it and ensure that it properly and tightly fitted in place.
